This tiny sweater is designed for my little doggies Cooper and Eddy and does not fit a normal dog. However, it can serve as a source of inspiration for making a larger dog sweater using a larger loom.
A full pattern for making Cooper and Eddy is available in my shop. This pattern includes a pattern for making a striped doggie sweater with belt.

- Take your 20 peg knitting loom and e-wrap 20 pegs in the round.
- Purl the first row and continue knitting 15 rows in the round.
- Then make the legholes: start by binding off peg 1, and continue knitting to the right to peg 7.
- Then, on turning bind off peg 7 and continue knitting 9 rows in total, going back and forth between peg 6 and 2, finishing on peg 2.
- Wrap peg 1, and continue knitting to the left from peg 20 to peg 8.
- Wrap peg 7 and knit to the left to peg 1.
- Now you have your front leg holes finished, continue with the chest section by knitting in the round to left for the next 6 rows.
- After completing the 6 rows make your collar by purling for 6 rows in the round to the left.
- Finish your project by binding off all stitches.
- Use a yarn needle to weave in any excess yarn tails, securing them to the inside of your project.
- Fold the section where you purled to create your collar.
- Congratulations, that’s your doggie sweater finished.
